The program teaches English Speaking Skills, Phonics, Reading, Basic Etiquette and Life skills in 90 minute classes, 5 days a week,  on school premises, and commences in the 1st or 2nd standard. Structured Lesson Plan content is delivered by trained volunteer teaching teams. The program spans 4 levels (Beginner (Level 1), Elementary (Level 2), Intermediate (Level 3) and Conversant (Level 4)) that teach English in a natural progression with each level completed in 26-28 weeks.

Impact Measurement

We use before and after videos and periodic verbal and written assessments to  measure the learning progress of every child and provide remedial action if needed.  Teachers are assessed by our Lesson Plan Delivery Training team and also by peers to  ensure effective delivery of the program.

Aarunya Teaching Aids

Aarunya has developed Teacher’s Books, Children’s Workbooks, Flash Cards, Puppets, Stories, Audio and Video content to deliver a multisensory learning experience that guarantees that the children learn English language skills quickly and effectively. The audio and video content is made available over WhatsApp and YouTube so that it is accessible 24X7 at zero cost to the children. Reinforcing concepts taught in class, the stories, songs and conversation snippets demonstrate contextual usage of the vocabulary that is taught. A key component of our teaching is Aarunya’s signature story series – Aarunya Adventures – which uses stories to teach situation specific English language skills. Featuring a diverse group of human and animal characters, these stories are relatable, imaginative and fun. They are available in print and video book formats. Aarunya Adventures series has captivated our young learners and has proven to be an enjoyable way of learning speaking and reading skills
